Import Stripe Data into SaasGrid.Com (by Craft Ventures) using Xano

Hey there! Are you a SaaS business looking to get feedback from Craft Ventures on your company's health metrics? Well, you're in luck! With Xano, you can seamlessly import your Stripe data into the SaaSGrid format required by Craft Ventures. Follow these simple steps, and you'll have your data ready in no time!

Step 1: Get Your Stripe Data Ready

Before we begin, you'll need to export two CSV files from your Stripe account:

1. Invoices CSV: This file contains all your invoice transactions, including any discounts or credits applied.
2. Subscriptions CSV: This file maps your transactions to their corresponding subscription plans (monthly, annually, etc.).

To export these files, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Stripe account (use the test mode if you want to practice).
2. Navigate to the "Payments" section and click on "Invoices."
3. Click "Export" and ensure the date range is set to "All" to include all invoices.
4. Once the export is complete, download the "Invoices" CSV file.
5. Next, navigate to the "Subscriptions" section and click "Export" again, ensuring the date range is set to "All."
6. Download the "Subscriptions" CSV file once the export is ready.

Step 2: Import Your Data into Xano

Now that you have your CSV files ready, it's time to import them into Xano:

1. Visit the Xano snippet link provided in the video (replace with the actual link).
2. Click on the first API endpoint and select "Run and Debug."
3. Under the "Invoice File" section, click "Browse" and select the "Invoices" CSV file you downloaded earlier.
4. Repeat the process for the "Subscription File" section, selecting the "Subscriptions" CSV file.
5. Ensure the "Store Debug Information" checkbox is unchecked to optimize performance.
6. Click "Run" to initiate the import process.

Depending on the number of transactions you have, this process may take 60-90 seconds to complete. Once finished, your data will be imported into a temporary database within Xano.

Step 3: Generate the SaaSGrid CSV

With your data imported, you can now generate the SaaSGrid CSV file:

1. Navigate to the second API endpoint in Xano and click "Run and Debug."
2. Again, ensure the "Store Debug Information" checkbox is unchecked.
3. Click "Run" to generate the SaaSGrid CSV file.
4. Once the process is complete, click "Download" to save the SaaSGrid CSV file to your local machine.

The generated CSV file will contain all your revenue data, broken down by customer and month. If a customer has an annual subscription, their revenue will be split across the relevant months.

Step 4: Upload to SaaSGrid

The final step is to upload your freshly generated SaaSGrid CSV file to the SaaSGrid platform:

1. Visit the SaaSGrid website (replace with the actual URL).
2. Click on the "Upload Data" button or navigate to the appropriate section.
3. Select the SaaSGrid CSV file you downloaded from Xano.
4. Follow any additional prompts or instructions provided by SaaSGrid.

And that's it! You've successfully imported your Stripe data into the SaaSGrid format required by Craft Ventures. Now, they can review your company's health metrics and provide valuable feedback.

Remember, while Xano has taken care of the revenue data, you'll still need to manually enter your Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and Operating Expenses (OPEX) into the SaaSGrid platform.
