Xano raises $10M to empower all organizations to use No-Code

By Xano | October 11, 2023

Since we launched two years ago, tens of thousands of companies around the globe have come to rely on Xano to power and scale their applications. Today, we handle millions of API requests and process millions of transactions in over 84 countries each day. We remain the trusted scalable Backend for the No-Code community and were able to pass the strict security and compliance requirements to win public companies like Heimstaden, Qualtrics, and Fluence (Siemens) who are proving that with Xano, they can leverage the power of No-Code to build faster and more cost-effectively while adhering to the strict requirements of a global organization.

While we've seen a lot of initial success, we're still very early in our journey of empowering anyone to create scalable, world-class software and today, we are excited to announce that we've raised a $10M Series A led by MHS Capital, joined by Engineering capital and a handful of amazing angel investors.

This funding validates that Xano is not only solving a real problem for smaller businesses, but also re-enforces Xano's position in demonstrating what Enterprise grade No-Code should look like.

We live in a world where organizations are constrained by engineering resources and outsourcing is increasingly not viable.  This has led to more product owners (citizen developers) turning to No-Code to build the software they need.

While this works for smaller use cases and organizations, No-Code adoption has been slow in larger organizations due to understandable hesitation from IT leadership. This hesitation is primarily due to the failure of existing No-Code tools to address a few key areas that IT stakeholders care about:

  • Process and Architecture: Features need to exist that allow for more seasoned software architects to provide supervision to the work of a citizen developer. Furthermore, the entire software development life cycle needs to be baked into No-Code tooling.
  • Deployment and Ownership: The infrastructure needs to meet large-scale applications' traffic and processing power demands. Oftentimes this requires flexible hosting options with the ability to have source-code control.
  • Security & Regulatory Compliance: Outside of adhering to the controls within security frameworks like SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA, ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA, larger organizations may have strict security controls that require more complex, region-specific deployments.
  • Interoperability: In most organizations, traditional developers have already built systems that house data and business-critical microservices that need to be integrated with.

We’re incredibly grateful to have been embraced by the No-Code community, and we envision a landscape where No-Code tools are the de-facto way that software is built, regardless of industry or organization size.

We have a long way to go, but this new funding will enable us to make key investments that make this dream a reality. Whether you’ve been a customer, a cheerleader, a partner, or a constructive critic, Thank you for the integral role you’ve played in getting us here today

Together we can move forward to usher in a new era of No-Code creation for all.
